Samsung Cell Phones

I have owned a handful of cell phones in my lifetime and the majority of them were Samsung cell phones. I have both good and bad things to say about them but I will focus on the bad in order to warn potential customers of possible aggravations they may encounter if they choose to purchase one of these phones. It seems to me that Sprint and the retailers that sell these phones talk enough about the good anyway.

I am a Sprint PCS customer and the majority of cell phones available under my plan are Samsung cell phones. In the last five years, I have gone through at least four Samsung cell phones and each have, at one point or another, died on me. Many have had batteries that did not hold a charge very well or for very long. Others overheated and ceased to work. Some were so light that the structural soundness was compromised.

I have found that Samsung cell phones are smaller and lighter than many of the others offered by Sprint. Many Samsung cell phones have a lot of nifty gadgets like cameras and impressive music capabilities. It may be that Samsung sacrifices some of the quality of its phones in order to make them more playful and attractive to younger consumers. Any time you have a product that is enhanced with any form of technology without going up in price, you must assume that something else was taken away in order to make up the difference on the manufacturer’s end.

One complaint I have about Samsung cell phones is that they have a tendency to burn up. I had one phone that overheated and then the led screen burned up. It looked as though the led display had melted on the inside. The screen went black and could not be repaired.

I think that most of the problems I have encountered with Samsung cell phones may stem from the fact that Sprint, like many cell phone manufacturers or retailers, refurbish as many phones as possible in order to save money. Sprint will take used and broken phones, scrap them for parts, and attempt to rebuild the phones in order to resell them.

I have no idea if any of the Samsung cell phones that I have purchased through Sprint were refurbished or not but I believe that some of them were. I know for a fact that when I took a defective one to a Sprint store to be replaced, they provided me with a “new” phone which was actually a refurbished one. This refurbished phone did not last very long before it too started to die on me.

One good thing that has come out of my aggravating experiences with Samsung cell phones is that I have found that there are now multiple websites that buy used cell phones. On the average, I have received twenty dollars per phone for the used Samsung cell phones that I hold sold. Sprint can recycle used cell phones in order to make a profit and then pass the refurbished goods back to the consumer. Now the consumer has the option to make that profit themselves by selling their unwanted phones.

Pay As You Go Cell Phones

The cell phone is firmly entrenched in countries around the world. Business people would feel naked without their cell phones. Busy Moms need to stay in touch. Teenagers wouldn’t be caught dead without their cell phone - they’d miss out on everything that their friends were up to that day. However, there is a contingent of people out there who don’t spend a lot of time on the phone. Gasp! Yes, it’s true.

Nonetheless, today, a cell phone is almost a necessity, if only for safety’s sake. If you get in trouble on the road, you can call for help instead of just sitting there waiting for someone to come along. Prepaid Cell Phone Plans

In this day and age, especially if you are young and upwardly mobile, there is just no excuse for you to go without a prepaid wireless cell phone. There are so many deals out there on prepaid wireless cell phones, and the prices have been going down or staying the same for years at this point. Assuming that you use your cellular phone responsibly, prepaid cell phones are really no more expensive than a normal service to your house is. And the advantages hardly need to be explained. Not only can you send and receive calls from anywhere with prepaid cell phones, but you can also text, check your email, and even surf the Internet nowadays. It is just so much more convenient than just using a house phone. And best of all, you do not even have to stop at home and check your messages when you use a prepaid cell phone. If you ask me, prepaid cell phones are just a better deal.

Of course, for some of us, there are a few drawbacks to prepaid cell phones that you do not get with just a normal phone. One of these drawbacks is that they are easy to lose or break. I have been using prepaid cell phones for a few years at this point, so I do know what I am talking about, and let me tell you that they are a lot more trouble than you would expect. Not only can they be dropped, but prepaid cell phones are often stolen or lost. They can fit easily in your pocket, but that means that the prepaid cell phones can also fall easily out of your pocket. So if you do not use enough caution with your prepaid cell phones, you are likely to have some added expenses that you will not like, and that is a fact.

But all of these problems are still canceled out by the convenience of prepaid cell phones if you can manage to be careful. The great thing about cell phone plans is that a lot of them include a free first phone, as well as a replacement in a year or two from purchase, which is just simply a really great deal. It means that, if you can manage to keep track of your prepaid cell phone, you will have to invest no additional money in it, besides the cost of the service.

The Latest Cell Phones

I’m sorry to tell you that I am known as a complete gadget geek. I’m the kind of person who buys computer stocks, keeps up with industry news, and camps out in front of stores to make sure I get the newest products as soon as they hit the shelves. In short, I’m an early adopter, which is why my friends and family always come to me when they want advice about the trendiest consumer electronic goods on the market.

I’m especially knowledgeable about the latest cell phones, so it’s no surprise that most of the questions I field are about these products. I have at least 3-4 different handsets at any given time, and try to upgrade to newer models several times per year. I’m not partial to any particular brand, so you’re liable to see me carrying the latest cell phone from manufacturers like Samsung, Motorola, Nokia, LG, or even Sony Ericcson. Of course, if I find a unit that I really love, such as the Apple iPhone or Blackberry Pearl, I’ll hold onto those far longer than usual.

Some people wonder how I can afford to have the latest cell phones at all times. Well, I wish I could say that I have some sort of secret connection to an industry insider, but that’s not the case at all. It simply comes down to something as boring as shopping around for the best deals. Most stores will take trade-ins, and since I always have a recent model to exchange, I don’t pay as much as you’d think. Plus, I know that I can always find awesome discounts and deals when I shop for the latest cell phones online, so it doesn’t cost all that much to be a trendsetter.

Finding the right mobile calling plan is also an important part of the equation. After all, it doesn’t do me any good to have the latest cell phone if I can’t use it whenever I want! Fortunately, most of the major carriers offer a wide variety of calling plans with a range of features that can be customized to meet my specific needs. So I have one plan for my business calls, another for friends, and a third for family. This works out great for me, and almost justifies my need for so many of the latest cell phones.

Even if you don’t share my all-out obsession with trendy gadgets, there might come a point in time when you find yourself wanting the latest cell phone. When that happens, you’ll be glad you read my advice!

My Take on LG Cell Phones

When it comes to choice of cell phones, there are so many options to choose from, and you may not know where to begin. The important thing to do when shopping for a new cell phone is to not buy the hype, but rather buy something that will suit your needs. Once solid brand is LG. LG cell phones, at least in my experience, are durable and dependable.

Verizon offers many Lg cell phones for their contract cell service, as well as their prepaid service. The particular model I have has been more dependable than most of the appliances in my home. Lg cell phones come with many of the same features that other brands offer. Oftentimes, choosing a cell phone is about the features, but what about reliability? People are known to be brand loyal as long as a product performs. Lg has proven to me they are reliable.

Many LG cell phones have different features, but the basics remain the same. When you decide it’s time to upgrade your phone with a newer model, buying the same brand often makes learning the ins and outs of your new phone easier. There are two cell phones in my household, and both are Lg cell phones. One is a newer model than the other, and both are on Verizon service. There are times when I need to use the other phone, and I find navigating the features easy because they are similar.

Both of the Lg cell phones in my home have taken a beating. Mine has been dropped numerous times, and the other one is constantly bounced around at a construction site. Despite the rough, yet unintentional mishandling, the Lg cell phones have taken it all and still work as well as they did when they were new. Lg cell phones are quite common on the market, and this is for a good reason. If you are looking for a new phone, but are overwhelmed by the choices, give Lg a look before you commit to another phone. Quite often when it comes to reliable service, it’s not just about your cell provider’s reliability, it is also about your cell phone’s durability as well.

As with other phones, ring tones, games, Internet, and other wanted features are all easily accessible when you own an Lg cell phone. Remember when buying a phone for a teenager or an elderly relative for safety reasons, you want something reliable. Don’t just look into the best service provider in your area, look for the most reliable cell phone as well. LG cell phones may just be what you need.
